Copper is David Schenk's first animal portrait sketch. It portrays his Maltese puppy, mouth open and tongue hanging out, simply enjoying the simplicity of life. Based and drawn off of an original picture, Copper reflects the inquisitive eye and attention to detail that David prides himself on. The subtle touches of brown in the hair, and pink highlighting the tongue draw emphasis away from the eyes and force the viewer to observe the more minuscule details. Intended to capture the carefree bliss that is inside everyone, Copper provides an honest representation of simplicity, and contentment.
